Solar Construction Supervisor

Job Description One Tech Engineering is searching for a Construction Supervisor for a position located in Hobbs, New Mexico. The Construction Supervisor will oversee civil construction activities and safety practices, ensuring work aligns with project requirements and industry standards.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate must have 7+ years experience in construction management, preferably in renewables.

Construction Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Perform field inspections using ArcGIS, safety oversight, and participation in incident investigations and safety culture improvements.
• Serve as the owner’s representative for civil inspections, verifying contractor work against project specifications.
• Coordinate daily with the civil team to understand upcoming inspections and field activities.
• Meet with site representatives to discuss internal inspections, POD updates, and safety concerns.
• Conduct thorough field inspections and safety walkdowns using ArcGIS software for documentation and reporting.
• Monitor contractor compliance with contract requirements and project standards.
• Identify, report, and assist in resolving quality issues or deviations in the field.
• Respond promptly to safety incidents and assist in investigations and root cause analysis.
• Promote and support a strong safety culture across the job site.
• Monitor and address weather-related risks that could affect safety or project timelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of field activities, inspections, and observations using digital tools.
• Communicate findings, progress, and concerns clearly to both field teams and project management.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment on construction progress, safety, and quality objectives.

• 7+ years experience in construction management, preferably in renewables.
• Degree in Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience in civil inspection and on-site safety oversight.
• Proficient in ArcGIS, Procore, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• OSHA certifications (e.g., OSHA 30) or equivalent training.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
• Must have a valid drivers license.
