Hotel Management & Consulting is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join our team. Primary Duties
  • Team Lead:
    Train and provide guidance to staff, discuss performance discrepancies, attend and lead staff huddles, and provide hands‑on support to achieve outstanding results.
  • Financial:
    Post checks in PMS, complete weekly labor tracker, manage payment‑due reports, postpaid outs and receipts.
  • Guest Relations:
    Ensure the hotel is always “Guest Ready” by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and swiftly addressing any guest concerns, monitoring feedback, suggesting and selling amenities, and ensuring guest and property security.
  • Housekeeping:
    Assign rooms to be cleaned by housekeeping and aide GM in inspecting rooms.
  • Other:
    Manage inventory, check property email, build relationships with vendors and guests, and foster teamwork.
  • Sales & Marketing:
    Network locally, promote the property, build relationships with competing properties, local organizations and key clients. Lead in‑house guest sales and marketing initiatives to increase occupancy.
  • Teamwork:
    Assist with housekeeping in rooms as needed and complete daily laundry duties and public‑space needs. Cover employee shifts as needed to ensure operational continuity.
  • Emergency Procedures:
    Know and follow property emergency procedures and ensure the security needs are met.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in hotel leadership, including front desk and back‑of‑house operations.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong team‑building skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Proactive in solving problems.
Physical Requirements
  • Perform tasks involving kneeling, squatting, standing, sitting, bending and twisting for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 20 lbs regularly, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
