Head of Cannabis Extraction and Edibles

Job Description
Viridian Staffing's () Client is looking for an experienced Cannabis Extractor and Edibles Leader who specializes in rosin to join a fast-growing cannabis company in the Southeast New Mexico area a little over an hour Northwest of Odessa, Texas.

Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing () is the original staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis / hemp industry.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage the day-to-day extraction and edible operations of a regulated, cannabis facility. You will oversee the continued scaling up of extraction operations. You'll establish and document SOP's and ensure you're in compliance with all regulations and SOPs relating to safety, security, and health. As the Lab Manager, you are managing the process, so you are willing to roll up your sleeves and do the work yourself.

Your prior direct reports consider you to be a collaborative leader with a 'can-do' attitude, who is dedicated to setting the organization up for success.

Your background should be a Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or relevant degree and at least 3+ years of experience in a laboratory environment and 1+ years' experience managing the lab. The ideal candidate for this position will have 3+ years of experience in managing a cannabis extraction lab. Experience making Cannabis rosin is required. You have knowledge/experience doing various types of extraction and have run a regulated Edibles kitchen.

Ideally you have product formulation experience as well. You have strong communication skills, enabling you to explain (and you enjoy explaining) complex scientific information to non-scientific individuals.
