Seasonal Tax-Financial Services Organization - GCR Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory - BCM Manager ation:
Anywhere in the country (New York or Remote). EY’s National Tax Department (NTD) serves high-profile clients with domestic and international transactional tax planning and advisory services. The Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice works within the NTD to assist companies with all aspects of financial reporting for income taxes, including tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls design and testing.

• Provide clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts).
• Assist companies with all aspects of the preparation of the tax provision.
• Review the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy and enhance the control environment; assess tax risk and control environments including Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 considerations.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred
• Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in professional services, a tax organization, law firm, or IRS
• Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail

• Experience with ASC 740 and/or IAS 12; corporate tax planning and compliance experience; broad exposure to federal income taxation in business or industry

Candidates with strong tax and tax accounting knowledge, ability to collaborate with and lead teams, skill to manage large engagements, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues.

• Salary range: $90/hr to $120/hr in all US locations. Total Rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off.
• Hybrid work model: most client-facing roles are expected to work in person 40-60% of the time over an engagement, project, or year.
