Are you an innovative and proactive HR leader passionate about driving performance in fast‑paced, technology‑driven environments? We are looking for a Manager, HR Business Partner to join our dynamic team supporting the Product and Technology organizations within our Higher Education business.
As a trusted partner, you will provide both strategic and tactical HR leadership, working closely with leaders to optimize talent management, employee engagement, workforce planning, and organizational design. You will play a key role in shaping best‑in‑class HR practices that drive outstanding performance, foster a positive culture, and support continuous organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic HR Partnership:
Collaborate with leaders in Product and Technology to design and implement HR strategies that align with business goals and drive high organizational performance.
• Performance Management:
Lead performance management processes including goal setting, feedback, and performance reviews. Provide coaching to managers on employee development and promote a culture of high engagement and inclusivity.
• Employee Relations:
Act as a trusted advisor, addressing employee relations issues, mediating conflicts, and ensuring a positive, inclusive work environment.
• Talent Management:
Drive talent acquisition and retention strategies, lead succession planning, and oversee career development programs to attract and retain top talent.
• HR Analytics:
Leverage HR data to inform decision‑making, measure the success of HR initiatives, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
• Organizational Development:
Lead organizational development initiatives that enhance team effectiveness, employee engagement, and culture transformation. Support leaders in managing change and ensuring smooth transitions during organizational shifts.
• HR Policies & Best Practices:
Provide expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate is a proactive, innovative, and results‑oriented HR professional with a strong background in strategic HR management. You have experience working in commercial and technology‑driven environments, with a deep understanding of how to align HR strategies with business needs.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role within technology or commercial organizations.
• Strong expertise in performance management, employee relations, talent development, and organizational design.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
• Experience using HR data and analytics to drive decision‑making and continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to manage change and support organizational transformation efforts.
• Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

What can Pearson offer you?
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, New York City, Washington and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000.
This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, and information on benefits offered is available upon request.
