Position Summary

Walmart’s Media & Advertising arm – Walmart Connect (WMC) – is growing its retail media network. This role brings data transparency to the growth and development of our Ad product, serving as the data analytics authority to Directors on high‑visibility projects.
Responsibilities- Serve as a data‑driven thought partner to the Insight team and other cross‑functional teams, supporting business reviews and delivering deep‑dive analyses, dashboards, automated reports, and ad‑hoc analyses.
- Own performance analytics, supporting detailed data‑centric analyses on daily/weekly/monthly performance and identifying key drivers across product groups.
- Build dashboards, scorecards and automate weekly business review slides for use in weekly/monthly reviews.
- Track key input and output metrics of the business, serving as the backbone of recurring reporting rhythms to expedite insight extraction.
- Generate data‑driven insights using a hypothesis‑first approach, statistics, and technical data languages (e.g., SQL, DAX for Power
BI) to manipulate data from disparate sources and identify patterns. - Conduct regular and ad‑hoc analyses, address data questions, and provide data narratives in business reviews and presentations with cross‑functional stakeholders, focusing on data integrity and accuracy.
- Deliver in a fast‑paced environment with multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business or STEM and 3‑5 years of relevant work experience.
- Previous data‑analytics experience with complex data sets and ability to interpret and manipulate data to identify patterns.
- Media & Advertising, eCommerce, CPG/retail background a plus.
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel, with familiarity with R and Python.
- Proficiency in visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to align business requirements, manage prioritization, and meet deadlines.
- Strong critical thinking skills, business acumen, and attention to detail with ability to quickly identify and correct irregularities.
- Experience with statistical modeling software and business‑analytics tools (Microsoft Office, reporting).
- Background in statistical research, modeling intelligence, or corporate security (minimum 2–4 years).
- Experience with data analytics for ad‑tech or media environments.
