Superior Availability

Job Purpose
The key contribution of the Associate Procurement Manager – Superior Availability is ensuring Service, Quality and Resilience for inbound material supply. The candidate strategically supports inbound material supply by designing resilience, problem‑solving, and working closely with planning and MRP teams. This role provides the opportunity to drive category growth by securing the inbound supply chain and designing process and structural resilience interventions.

Responsibilities
  • Represent procurement to suppliers and inbound suppliers, collaborating with planning and other stakeholders.
  • Support cross‑category and cross‑functional service initiatives and pillars.
  • Assist the business in all procurement activities related to MRP.
  • Develop and execute the material resilience strategy for North America to de‑risk high‑impact materials and ensure business continuity.
  • Drive supplier operational results through partnership, focusing on material quality and service.
  • Establish best practices to improve service metrics (Service, Quality, Inventory) across the supply chain; identify and propose action plans for potential supply risks, building structural resilience.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, R&D, and BU teams to implement the material resilience strategy and gain buy‑in for key initiatives.
  • Understand the supplier relationship structure and the linkages between the Procurement Portfolio, Global Team and internal/external customers for materials service and quality.
  • Manage working capital and miscellaneous cost reductions in partnership with Supply Chain and Finance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business, Sciences or Engineering.
  • 2‑3 years of general business experience in any Supply Chain function (Logistics, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Management, Planning).
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.

  • Operational and supply‑chain expert with deep understanding of the material supply chain and Unilever operations.
  • Leadership: leading the Service & Resilience program and connecting supplier partners with Planning.
  • Culture and change champion: collaborate with suppliers and Procurement on resiliency, service and quality.
  • Connector: link internal support functions (Buyers, R&D, Engineering, Go‑to‑Market Planning, Brand) to ensure progress of material flow for operations and long‑term resilience.

  • High-level understanding of supply chain, value chains, resilience and operations.
  • High level of interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management record.
  • Excellent problem‑solving in complex, high‑pressure environments.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.

Pay
: $86,080 – $129,120.

Bonus
:
Position is bonus eligible.

Long‑Term Incentive (LTI):
Position is LTI eligible.
