Project Director

Volker Fitzpatrick offers a range and depth of civil engineering, infrastructure and building services. We contribute to vital parts of the nation's life through projects of strategic importance, while delivering those less visible, yet essential, works required by both private and public sectors. We build, renew, maintain highways, airports, railway infrastructure, and commercial, industrial and educational buildings.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Project Director to join our Build Division to lead the successful delivery of Data Centre projects across the UK.

As the Project Director you will take full accountability for safety, programme, commercial performance, and client satisfaction on high-value, complex infrastructure schemes.

This is a strategic leadership role requiring strong stakeholder engagement, operational excellence, and the ability to drive high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.

About you

• Proven track record in a Project Director / Senior Project Manager role within a Tier 1 or major contractor
• Extensive experience delivering complex Build projects; specifically within the Data Centre world
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (e.g. NEC contracts)
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams
