Lead Electrical Assessor / Trainer - Electrical Apprenticeships
Location: Broxbourne Campus, Hertford Regional College (HRC)
Job Type: Permanent, full‑time
Salary: Up to £47,005 per annum plus market supplement £3,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)
Holiday Entitlement: 30 days + bank holidays

the Role
Responsibilities include:
- Support the successful enrolment, delivery, training and achievements via effective teaching, learning and assessment practices for all apprentices on your caseload.
- Ensure all apprentices achieve timely and overall outcomes on Apprenticeship standards within identified subject areas/specialisms.
- Programme‑manage the Electrical Installation Apprenticeship and line‑manage a team of electrical assessors with a focus on quality improvement within the Electrical apprenticeship delivery.
- Work within a well‑established and supportive apprenticeships team.
Qualifications and experience:
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above in Electrical, or willing to work towards it during the probationary period.
- Occupational experience within the electrical industry.
- Experience managing a caseload of learners and employers.
- Good working knowledge of Apprenticeship Frameworks (Standards) and workplace assessment.
- Some experience of managing a team.
- Seeking a lead assessor trainer role where you can ensure the best outcomes and progression for apprentices.
