Lecturer Music

Hertford Regional College is looking for a passionate Music, Media and Performing Arts Lecturer to join our team at the Broxbourne Campus.

Salary: £33,135 – £41,700 per annum (depending on experience)

Holiday: 42 days plus bank holidays

Location: Broxbourne Campus, Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week

Closing Date: 14th January @ Midday

About the Role

We are looking for an inspirational Music, Media and Performing Arts Lecturer with excellent organisational and programme management skills. In This Role, You Will
  • Plan and deliver high‑quality teaching, learning, and assessment to enable students to achieve their full potential
  • Develop and implement effective schemes of learning, lesson plans, and learning resources in line with college policies
  • Monitor, review, and improve teaching and learning through self‑reflection, feedback, and continuous professional development
  • Contribute proactively to curriculum development, course review, and departmental strategic planning
  • Ensure high standards of quality assurance, assessment, and compliance with awarding body and college requirements
  • Provide strong pastoral support, including personal tutoring, monitoring attendance and behaviour, and supporting student wellbeing
  • Support student recruitment, progression, and achievement through interviews, induction activities, events, and enrichment opportunities
About You
  • A Teacher Training qualification (PTTLS/DTLLS) or willingness to work towards one
  • Degree in Music, Music Production, Audio Production or Creative Arts
  • GCSEs C/4 or above in English and Maths
  • Proven teaching experience and subject specialism
  • A real passion for creating positive learning experiences
