AboutThe Role
Full‑time Lecturer and Curriculum Coordinator within the Construction / Motor Vehicle Department. Teach up to 12 hours per week and deliver health & safety training (CSCS). Knowledge of Construction or Motor Vehicle is desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Support improvements in teaching, learning and assessment through lesson observations, learning walks and curriculum audits.
- Analyse learner progress and achievement data to inform targeted interventions.
- Promote high expectations and continuous improvement among staff and students.
- Drive initiatives to improve attendance, punctuality and engagement.
- Support implementation of Attendance and Behaviour Policies.
- Manage operational aspects including timetabling, cover and curriculum planning.
- Facilitate enrichment activities and cross‑college collaboration.
- Support the CAM and provide mentoring and coaching to staff.
- Monitor KPIs and coordinate personalised action plans for at‑risk students and support and facilitate the disciplinary process.
- A minimum Level 4 teaching qualification (or equivalent).
- Level 2 qualification in a related vocational area is preferred but not essential. A relevant qualification or industry experience may support eligibility for a market supplement.
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 (C) or above, or equivalent qualifications.
- A proven track record of working collaboratively and contributing positively to team success and improved outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to enhance student outcomes, develop curriculum quality and support teaching excellence.
- Excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong leadership qualities, including flexibility, professionalism and a firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
