Infrastructure Engineer – 3rd Line & Automation

Location: Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire

We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a busy Infrastructure Operations team, providing 3rd Line support while driving automation and continuous improvement across the infrastructure environment.

A proactive, hands-on approach to automation, problem-solving and continuous improvement, with a drive to identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide infrastructure support and act as the escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Automation Development:
  Identify inefficiencies and build automation solutions using tools like Power Shell, Python, and Bash to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
• Develop automation using Power Shell, Power Automate, Python and other technologies.
• Automate repetitive deployment, monitoring, reporting and administrative tasks.
• Support and maintain Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Azure, Intune, Active Directory and Microsoft Entra .
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and identify root causes.
• Manage infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, patching and technical improvements.
• Support infrastructure projects and technical implementations.
