OverviewThe position we are seeking to fill is for a Pilot Plant Technician. You will be responsible for executing manufacturing activities in support of product development projects within the Research & Development department, by manufacturing products within a safe GMP environment.
Responsibilities- Set up, run and operate Oral solid dose Pilot Plant equipment and support problem-solving activities to resolve equipment/product quality issues that arise.
- Execute batch sheet instructions and record their completion to GMP standards.
- Support the scale-up, production and technical transfer of pharmaceutical products.
- Support management of plant and process areas.
- Support installation, validation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment as required.
- Ensure that documentation of processes and operations is in place and completed to enable detailed understanding of the manufacturing process and future improvements where required.
- Work closely with stakeholders (Quality, Analytical and Facilities) and colleagues in Formulation Development to plan campaign tasks, edit and review supporting documentation, and ensure a seamless transition into the GMP manufacturing facility.
- Input, propose and modify SOPs, risk assessments and training curricula as appropriate.
- Degree in pharmaceutical science, chemical processing or related discipline.
- Experience in a GMP facility would be highly desirable.
- Experience working in a high-paced environment.
