Highland Care Center is currently searching for a dedicated Transportation Driver to join our team! Our facilities deliver outstanding care as well as foster strong employee bonds. The Transportation Aide/Van Driver will transport residents to appointments, various individual and group activities.

• Provide medically necessary transportation in an efficient, cost‑effective manner to safely meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
• Safely secure residents' wheelchairs and restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during the trip.
• Report resident medical issues in a timely manner.
• Implement transportation schedule and notify nursing and unit managers of schedule conflicts and/or issues.
• Notify supervisor when equipment is in need of maintenance or repair.
• Notify supervisor when there are unresolved conflicts with scheduling.
• Clean the interior of the van on a regular basis, ensuring the vehicle is presentable for the transport of residents.
• Ensure that patients are supervised; safety is maintained at all times; and patients are treated with respect and dignity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA (required in some states).
• Must have a valid state driver's license.
• Proof of insurance.
• Must have a satisfactory, safe driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms, feel, see, talk and hear. Employee may be required at times to push/pull residents in wheelchairs weighing between 100–300 lbs, including assisting ambulatory residents with entering/exiting the vehicle.
