Tommy’s is looking for a Corporate Construction Manager to help manage all aspects of construction for our Tommy’s Express car washes. We are looking for a well-qualified individual to help us manage and grow a new corporate general contracting opportunity. This new opportunity will seek to vertically integrate our company as a licensed general contractor. This role is responsible for managing construction process to include but not limited to sub-contractor relationships, estimating, site safety, schedule management, contract and budget management, project management and close out

Position Responsibilities
- Create and maintain relationships with subcontractors
- Collect, compile, and finalize project estimates from initial concept to completion. Understand trade costs and have a thorough understanding of overall trade scope based on construction plans.
- Effectively communicates relevant project information (proposal explanations, status and schedule updates) to appropriate parties such as internal and external project teams, subcontractors and clients) and works diligently to either solve the issues in a timely fashion or escalates.
- Assist in design submission and obtaining of all permits required by the authority having jurisdiction of each project.
- Ensures delivery of agreed upon contract terms and conditions, including permits, insurance, notice to proceed and subcontracts etc. are in order.
- Can interpret subcontractor contract language and ensures objectives of contracts are met. Responsibilities include contract development, contract reviews and final contract language and contract negotiations.
- Strong ability to interpret site specific construction plans and specs in detail to understand materials and systems
- Leads and facilitates project processes and meetings from project conception to project close out including the project pre-construction meeting, site-specific safety plan implementation/enforcement, weekly progress meetings, owner/architect/sub-contractor meetings, sub mobilization, punch list and final close out.
- Prepare, review and return submittals.
- Oversee subcontractor bid process by assisting with all aspects of acquiring local sub-contractor bids, vetting contractors for feasibility and seamless execution as well as walking subs through the plans to ensure clear understanding of scope requirements.
- Manages complex relationships (Owner/client, architect, subcontractors, superintendent, project manager etc.)
- Coordinate construction activity with local officials to maintain a positive working relationship with local municipality and city officials.
- Completes project financial tasks such as owner/client and sub-contractor change orders, budget updates, owner/client/bank draw requests, invoice approvals and others as may be required by project.
- Reviews and approves project invoices. Overall monitors the financial health of the project and provides regular budgetary updates.
- Demonstrates effective preconstruction, estimating, budgeting, constructability reviews, value engineering and schedule development skills.
- Establishes a culture on each job site of continuous improvement and the highest degree of collaboration.
- Create on site safety plan, work with site super to enforce with all subcontractors and include as part of weekly meetings. Fully demonstrates a safety-first approach beginning with site work through project completion.
