Maplewood Head Start
Responsible to ensure the effective and efficient operations of the assigned centers by overseeing all operations, managing staff, addressing parent, child, and staff issues, and meeting curriculum requirements. This position is responsible for ensuring that all Head Start Performance Standards and State of Michigan Licensing Rules are met.
Educational requirementsThis position requires a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, or other related field with coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education.
A college course in the administration of early childhood centers is required.
Skills and specifications- Three or more years of professional experience working with preschool aged children
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Analytical skills to identify problems and generate ideas and solutions
- Ability to perform complex tasks and prioritize multiple projects
- Demonstrated ability to exhibit professionalism and maintain confidentiality
Full-time, school year program with limited summer hours
