Senior Product Engineer - Architectural Products (Onsite)
Join Haworth in Holland, MI to shape the future of workspace design. We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer to collaborate closely with industrial design from concept to launch, mentor a team, and drive innovation in architectural products.
Job SummaryOversee product engineering initiatives aligned with business objectives, lead cross‑functional teams, and develop long‑term product strategy.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic product engineering initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Drive innovation in product design and development, exploring and implementing advanced technologies.
- Solve complex problems using advanced analytical techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Lead cross‑functional teams for large‑scale product development projects, ensuring alignment and collaboration across departments.
- Implement best practices and standards for product engineering to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and coach a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Contribute to long‑term product strategy with expert insights and recommendations.
- Perform all essential job functions with or without accommodation.
- Use office automation, communication, software, and tools common in the Haworth office environment.
- Perform other duties within scope as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (or equivalent education and experience).
- 5 years of experience in engineering, design, and development of architectural products with a bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a master’s degree.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, anywhere in the United States.
- Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the U.S. and must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
- Applicants must be willing to use the Haworth office environment and comply with all company policies.
- Advanced degree or additional years of experience with architectural products and/or door systems.
- Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Proven leadership of assigned resources and project management skills.
- Experience with multiple architectural systems (walls, building construction).
- Proficiency in CAD, preferably Creo.
- Ability to work well with diverse teams and document project deliverables effectively.
