Reports to: Quality Director

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. (LGESMI) develops and manufactures large lithium-ion polymer batteries and packs for electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage applications. Come join the leader in advanced EV batteries!

Summary

The Quality Planning Engineer I is responsible for communicating various teams in the organization and managing its roadmap and projects progress. Other responsibilities include leading internal audits across all areas of the organization and providing training for the Quality Management System (QMS).

Responsibilities
  • Maintain IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certifications through continuous compliance management.
  • Schedule and facilitate Quality meetings
  • Monitor QA team KPIs and report to upper management
  • Monitor and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with internal procedures
  • Track QA department investment budget, monitor progress, and identify delayed items
  • Communicate closely with headquarters teams to ensure smooth coordination and timely implementation of headquarters’ requests and initiatives
  • Plan and schedule trainings for QA teams and other departments
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related fields or equivalent, relevant experience
Experience
  • 1 to 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting preferred

  • MS Office Suite and Minitab
  • Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
