Controls Engineer - Contract

DISHER is seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Engineer for an accelerated contract project to reverse engineer and develop new industrial hardware for an existing vehicle-based de‑icing system. This project involves replacing antiquated PCB‑based controllers and relays with modern industrial hardware to control electrical and hydraulic systems. This contract is at least 3 months in length.

• Reverse engineer existing vehicle‑based de‑icing system components and architecture
• Integrate controls for electrical and hydraulic systems
• Work in an agile environment with evolving project scope
• Provide creative resourcing solutions to meet accelerated timeline
• Document system designs, specifications, and implementation plans

• Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial controls engineering
• Proven experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems
• Strong background in electrical and hydraulic control systems
• Ability to reverse engineer existing systems and develop modernized replacements
• Experience working on accelerated timelines and adapting to changing project requirements
• Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
