We are currently looking for an Associate Recruiter to join our team.
Position SummaryThe Associate Recruiter supports the full recruitment lifecycle including branding, sourcing, screening, selecting, and coordinating logistics for top talent to meet Haworth's hiring needs. This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand requirements, build candidate pipelines, and ensure a smooth, positive experience for applicants and hiring leaders. The primary focus of this role is operations recruitment, however, this role will occassional recruit for salaried and salaried non-exempt positions as well.
The ideal candidate loves hiring and meeting new people, is comfortable attending external events and using social media on behalf of Haworth, works well in teams, is detail oriented, and has a positive, can-do, welcoming attitude!
This role may be located at our HQ in Holland, MI (preferred) or one of our plant locations:
Ludington, MI, Big Rapids, MI, Bruce, MS, or Conover, NC. This is primarily an onsite role with occasional flexibility.
- Talent Acquisition Expertise - Support recruiting activities and candidate sourcing; develop expertise in assigned areas; ensure candidates and customers feel supported.
- Technology Proficiency & Data Analysis - Learn and use recruiting software/tools (e.g., Success Factors); create and manage requisitions; collect, organize, and maintain recruiting data.
- External Branding & Marketing - Establish a social presence to promote opportunities and reshare postings; volunteer regularly for recruiting events such as career fairs that may occur at different times of the day or evening.
- Compliance, Auditing & Labor Laws - Familiar with labor laws related to recruitment; conduct audits, and maintain compliance.
- Recruiting Project Management - Lead recruiting-related projects; develop job aids, guidelines, or standard work.
- Acting as a Champion for Change - Adapt positively to changes in recruiting processes, tools, and responsibilities; contribute to team improvement discussions; communicate changes effectively to customers.
- Communicating Effectively - Demonstrate clear written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills; communicate respectfully and effectively with candidates, customers, and colleagues.
- Problem Solving - Identify and resolve simple recruiting issues (e.g., scheduling challenges, process navigation) with guidance as needed.
- Attention to Detail - Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail on a day to day basis
Provide HR Support:
Provide basic HR support to employees and managers on policies, procedures, and programs. - Assist With HR Processes:
Assist with HR processes, prepare HR documents, and participate in departmental meetings to understand customer challenges and needs. - Conduct Basic Research:
Gather information and conduct basic research on HR-related topics. - Maintain HR Records:
Maintain accurate and confidential HR records. - Collaborate With Team Members:
Collaborate effectively with other HR team members. - Stay Abreast of HR Trends:
Stay informed about current HR trends, laws, and regulations. - Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
- Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in relevant field of study - Education Equivalency:
Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education - Work Experience:
No professional experience required - Military Equivalency extmove.org/vets/find/military
- Ability to support Spanish-speaking employees in navigating various human resources questions or concerns
- Has completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Has a Society of Human Resources Management Certification (PHR/SPHR/CP/SCP)
- Experience with SAP Success Factors
- Prior talent acquisition / recruiting experience
