Construction Project Manager at Tommy Car Wash Systems is responsible for leading and coordinating construction projects across our franchise network. Candidates will work closely with franchise partners, general contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently and successfully.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in streamlining our construction processes by working closely with franchise partners, general contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently and successfully.

Position Responsibilities
  • Practice honesty and integrity in all facets of the company.
  • Complete ownership of Project Development phase from site selection to operation, overseeing and executing each step, in customer journey.
  • Manage the communication and relationship between TCWS and client professionally and skillfully at all times, providing accurate information and quick response times.
  • Proactively manage Civil Engineers, Architects and General contractor to facilitate a Tommy Express Facility.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other departments within the company to deliver a turn-key project and smooth experience, creating raving fans along the way.
  • Travel to site as required and gather necessary information, meet with general contractors/sub-contractors/clients as necessary throughout the process.
  • Help execute a great experience for our franchise partners by hosting and conducting the various steps of the Tommy journey throughout the development of a building project.
  • Monitor and have thorough knowledge of the building and how it interacts with wash equipment.
  • Collect suggestions from contractors regarding construction modifications and improvements.
Position Qualifications & Candidate Attributes
  • Degree in Construction Management preferred or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Franchise experience a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time.
  • Ability to read architectural plans/understand and decipher construction documentation.
  • Ability to be a team player.
  • Outstanding organizational and follow up disciplines.
  • Clear communicator who tastefully represents the company.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, PDF Editors (Bluebeam).
  • Experience with some type of project management software.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This position is full time. On average the Team Member will work 45 to 60 hours a week. Could possibly work on a weekend or respond to phone calls or emails in the evening.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment as Tommy companies are committed to an in‑person culture. Office operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.

Physical Demands
  • Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printer.
  • Able to effectively communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself and exchange information.
  • Able to move equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Able to work and commute in all weather conditions.
  • Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers.
Travel

This position routinely travels to job sites and meets with franchise partners.
