Who We Want

The Maintenance Supervisor assists the Department Manager with monitoring, planning, and implementing maintenance work activities to support production, preventive maintenance, and other assigned tasks. The maintenance group leader monitors Quality, Safety, and Efficiency of the maintenance team to ensure that customer (internal and external) needs are met. Maintenance Supervisors are also moral builders and responsible for creating a positive work environment for all employees and solving problems as a team.

You’ll Do
  • Manage processes with detailed accuracy and discipline.
  • Coach and assist all employees with problem solving.
  • Teach, train, and keep accurate records of training.
  • Ensure all quality standards are met.
  • Ensure that preventive maintenance activities are performed properly and on time.
  • Pay close attention to detail, including safety, housekeeping, quality, performance, instructions given by management, and employee well‑being.
  • Perform incident reporting and investigate root cause for injuries, near misses, and mishits that occur on tools.
  • Monitor employee attendance and discipline accordingly in accordance with the employee handbook.
  • Manage maintenance team operations in accordance with expectations for safety, quality, performance, and attendance.
  • Support team members with completion of daily tasks.
  • Conduct toolbox talks daily to ensure proper and consistent communication.
What You Need To Have
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4‑year college or university or HS Diploma/GED with 3‑5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • High standards of performance for self.
  • Takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes.
  • Thorough, accurate and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.
  • Takes positive action to objectively resolve conflict by listening, staying focused on the issue to find resolution, and monitoring progress.
  • Maintains positive relationships by constructively resolving conflicts.
  • Uses feedback from others to continuously improve performance and work relationships.
  • Makes use of available flexibility to support plant flow.
  • Works with a sense of urgency to meet needs of customers.
  • Has necessary experience, skills, and knowledge to perform all aspects of the job; rotates through all job responsibilities.
  • Maintains knowledge and skills to perform the job effectively.
  • Approaches change as a learning opportunity and focuses on benefits of change.
  • Looks for good in others; works collaboratively; shares information and knowledge.
  • Is at work when scheduled and ensures coverage when absent; takes timely breaks/lunches and uses time wisely.
  • Precision measurement skills using measurement devices such as micrometers.
  • Intermediate computer skills – Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
