Holland Assembly Position (Temp‑to‑Hire Opportunity) Job Summary

Join Miller Knoll as an Operations Technician on a temporary basis with the chance to transition to permanent employment through Adecco Staffing. This role focuses on assembling products and related parts in a manufacturing environment, following lean manufacturing principles and standard work methods.

• Assembly
  • Attach appropriate labels and tags to product and packages.
  • Inspect equipment and product, report safety or quality issues.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately.
  • Gain up to 2 skill blocks from the skill library.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment in accordance with 5S and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in HMPS improvement activities.
  • Perform at least 75 % of department jobs at the required rate.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain reliable attendance.
  • Rotate through department workstations as needed.
  • Work overtime when required.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
• Material Handling
  • Receive, store, and pull raw and finished goods safely and accurately.
  • Operate forklifts and aerial lifts safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a valid forklift license and comply with MIOSHA standards.
  • Follow standard work methods and safety practices.
  • Cross‑train in other departments.
  • Communicate effectively, attend reliably, rotate workstations, and work overtime as needed.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested.

• Education / Experience
  • High‑school diploma or equivalent (GED), or work experience demonstrating competency.
• Skills & Abilities – Assembly
  • Basic math skills (counting, adding, subtracting).
  • Team and cross‑team collaboration.
  • Adaptability to changing environments.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, use hands, and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Clear verbal and written communication; visual acuity with or without correction.
• Skills & Abilities – Material Handling
  • Same core skills as the Assembly role, plus forklift operation competencies.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
