Main Responsibilities
- Assure that new launches achieve zero safety and quality incidents, zero delivery issues, 100% on target to our financial commitments, and 90 days into production.
- Facilitate the handoff of new product/equipment/processes ("launch") from the launch team to plant leadership through the use of the Launch Glide Path, Launch Readiness Reviews, R@R's, Process Sign-Off 1 & 2, and Launch performance report.
- Utilize the Launch Glide Path to systematically drive actions and accountability to required tasks and deliverables according to the predetermined program timeline; report Glide Path status to launch team, plant staff, and NA leadership via Launch Performance Reports.
- Drive and coordinate the schedule for pre‑production builds, power builds, and burst builds to prepare the plant for a successful first‑time Run at Rate.
- Lead 3 Launch Readiness Reviews in phase 4; document open issues, actions, owners, and dates; align with Program Manager on tracking; drive open issues to closure for a successful launch.
- Facilitate Run at Rate event(s) 90 days prior to SOP to validate plant readiness (safety, quality, delivery, financial) at or before SOP.
- Facilitate a Red Flag review with leadership if Win at Rate is not achieved 90 days prior to SOP; identify open issues, actions, owners, and dates; follow up until closure.
- Lead Process Sign‑Off reviews (1 &
2) with the plant prior to SOP; conduct weekly meetings within the plant and staff to review, update, and close issues. - Manage launch cost budget with the launch team and plant to ensure timely spending of predetermined funds; elevate deviations to program and plant leadership; forecast launch costs for current and future years.
- Compile and report Monthly Management Operations Review data to plant leadership and NA launch Director (top issues, action plans, timing).
- Ensure 100% conformance to plant assigning/utilizing "Launch Core Teams"; align plant core team with launch core team for appropriate handoff; guide and mentor Core Team members to meet all launch objectives.
- Ensure Plant Leadership team is trained in the launch process and their role within it.
- Ensure the plant has all support needed from the internal organization to launch successfully; eliminate any "roadblocks" that hinder plant goals.
- Coordinate multiple launches simultaneously as required.
- Provide Plant Manager and Regional Launch Manager feedback on new staffing decisions and performance of plant staff personnel as necessary.
- Assist Plant Materials team in completing customer‑specific capacity data sheets; transpose corporate capacity planning data into customer‑required documentation.
- Initiate the "Red Flag" process when a launch is missing key deliverables such as quality or timing elements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Maintain predictable and regular attendance; arrive at the designated location on time or ready to work.
Bachelor's Level Degree in Engineering, Business, or Similar
Required Qualifications- 3–5 minimum years of experience within the field.
- New product launch experience in a functional discipline or operational leadership experience in a plant.
- Solid problem‑solving skills (preferably Problem‑Solving tool knowledge: KT, Six Sigma, 8D, etc.).
