CNC Machinist

This role focuses on independently machining CNC mills and lathes in a clean, air-conditioned toolroom within a metal stamping manufacturing facility. Working primarily on mills while also handling lathes, programming directly at the machine using CAD/CAM software, and completing machining jobs from start to finish with tight tolerances. Will train on programming!

• At least 4 years of experience as a CNC machinist, with 46 years of general machine tool experience.
• Proven ability to machine and program CNC mills and lathes, with stronger proficiency on CNC mills.
• Ability to program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Solid Works, or comparable tools.
• Capability to operate CNC machines from start to finish, including setup, tool changes, edits, programming, and running parts.
• Experience working with tight tolerances and precision machining requirements.
• Proficiency in machine tool applications, including selection of tooling, speeds, and feeds.
• Strong skills in using hand gauges, comparators, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks unsupervised, especially on an off shift.
• Solid organization and communication skills to coordinate work and support manufacturing needs.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced automotive-related manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Demonstrated commitment to following established processes and procedures.

This is a Permanent position based out of Holland, MI.

The pay range for this position is $59800.00 - $64584.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
