Plate Area Team Lead

• Responsible for quality and quantity of sub-assemblies
• Continuous improvement in support of department and company goals
• Supports, participates, and encourages team building.
• Provides feedback, both positive and negative, to the team, other related departments, and the supervisor.
• Promotes a positive work environment.
• Follow all of Porter Corp’s procedures and policies.
• Work safely and efficiently.
• Work with purchasing and receiving to ensure that correct material is ordered and received in a timely manner to ensure goals are met.
• Able to lift, up to, 50 pounds, bend, stand for long periods of time, stooping etc.
• Supports team as much as needed.
• Manage material and Inventory.
• Review resumes, assist in interview and hiring process also advise disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
• Coordinates and runs Cycle Counts in the plate area.
• Perform inventory adjustments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• This position requires a knowledge of basic material handling methods to ensure a quality product is delivered to all customers.
• Knowledge of skilled machining techniques and basic welding experience.
• Work requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

This position requires minimal to no travel.

• Basic computer skills
• Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems.

• Able to read blueprints.
• Very good interpersonal skills
• Must be open-minded to new ideas and concepts.
• Possesses very good problem-solving skills.
• Must be self-motivated and results oriented.

• Safe and efficient material handling to minimize damage.
• Accuracy and completeness of deliverable materials to customer
• Follow all Porter Corp policies and procedures.
