Plasma Center Nurse – RN (Bio Life Plasma Services)

Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility and manage donor adverse events.
- Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
- Conduct donor interviews, medical history, physical examination, blood testing, and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needing guidance on medical or technical issues.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
- Can serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
- High school diploma or equivalent to graduate from a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
Hourly wage range: $31.92 – $43.89.
