About Bio Life Plasma ServicesEvery day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect becomes life-changing medicines. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and work as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.
About the roleYou will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. You will work under guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. You will also support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) at the center level.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions as outlined in SOPs; follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, support development of Center Physician standing orders, and coordinate donor transport to emergency care.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for findings requiring medical or technical guidance.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents, determine need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER, and follow EHS guidance.
- Act as a pandemic coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or graduate equivalent nursing program meeting state requirements.
- Current LPN or LVN license in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Completion of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA-approved Bio Life Medical Support Specialist training.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Location & CompensationUSA – MI – Holland
Hourly wage range: $23.85 – $32.79 (actual wage may vary based on qualifications and experience). U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives and various benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time, holidays and well‑being benefits. U.S. based employees may receive up to 80 hours of sick time per calendar year and new hires accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
