Join the Veterinary Summer Apprenticeship Program at Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) and set yourself up for success in your future career. EVCC has been delivering exceptional emergency and critical care for pets across Northern Indiana and Michigan for over 20 years. Through this program, you’ll work alongside our expert veterinarians and technical team members, gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced and supportive environment.

The program is divided into three progressive levels to match your existing knowledge and skills, allowing you to grow every summer.

This program is ideal for students actively enrolled in courses geared towards a degree in veterinary medicine, veterinary technician students, or pre‑veterinary students. Qualified applicants are enthusiastic individuals with a passion for veterinary care and a willingness to learn. Previous experience in the veterinary field is preferred but not required.
