Journeyman Electrician - Industrial

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role requires proficiency in industrial electrical work, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all electrical systems in the plant are functioning optimally and meet industry standards.

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
• Utilize tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues.
• Work with high voltage systems and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Renovate existing electrical installations to improve functionality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, including those involved in frame carpentry, to complete projects effectively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to logic controllers and other automated systems.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

• Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician, with a focus on industrial electrical work.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, codes, and safety practices.
• Proficiency in using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Experience working with high voltage systems is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams accurately.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations.

Job Type: Full‑time

Pay: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
