This position is a full-time, hourly position responsible for cleaning and maintaining the interior of vessels while providing first-class service to the Principals.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Watercraft Operations- Clean and detail vessels before and after use.
- Utilize attention to detail to ensure vessels meet a high standard.
- Provide excellent service to the Principals.
- Assist Principals with vessel launching and retrieval.
- Assist the Captain and Engineer in maintaining vessels during winter months.
- Maintain interiors of a fleet of marine vessels.
- Manage all provisions and vessel inventory.
- Assist and complete other projects and duties as assigned.
- Provide general cleaning, waxing/buffing, caulking, detailing, and maintenance of teak deck on vessels.
- Assist with building and safety readiness of vessels.
- Assist with seasonal needs for winterization, spring readiness, dock cleaning, lighting, water supply, and safety readiness.
- Ensure services are performed at the highest level of quality.
- Maintain a courteous and professional status with Principals and guests.
- Efficiently communicate with other staff, attentively listen, ask questions, work well with others, and demonstrate a desire to be part of a team.
- Assist the Property Manager with maintenance and project needs if requested.
- Previous experience in the marina and boat industry.
- Proven track record of providing outstanding customer service.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Forklift operator license required (or ability to obtain after hire).
- Must wear required safety equipment provided by the employer.
- Travel required, including international; passport required (or ability to obtain after hire).
- Requires working weekend and holiday shifts as needed.
- Some work is performed in and near water; strong swimming skills are required.
- Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, and integrity in all operations.
- Must be responsible, dedicated, and dependable; neat and tidy in appearance; organized and reliable.
- Exemplify a positive attitude and demonstrate pride in service.
- Attentive to details to ensure the highest level of service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- The highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity to privacy must be exercised at all times. This includes, but is not limited to, information pertaining to assets, communication, itineraries, and movements of the Principals.
- Ability to work at a physically demanding pace.
- Ability to remain standing for lengthy periods of time; climb steps and stairs; stoop, bend, and kneel.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds to a maximum height of six (6) feet.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at high heights.
- Ability to load and unload equipment and supplies.
