Part time, 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm

The Bus Driver will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations on assigned bus routes, ensuring a comfortable and timely journey.

• Operate a bus and follow designated routes and schedules.
• Ensure the safety of passengers during transit, including adherence to traffic rules and regulations.
• Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking the bus, maintaining a courteous and helpful attitude.
• Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and fare payment options.
• Maintain a clean and well‑maintained bus interior, including regular cleaning and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the bus to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate authorities or supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of routes, passenger counts, and any incidents or delays.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including punctuality and professional appearance.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required.

• Excellent knowledge of traffic rules and regulations.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with residents in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to operate and maneuver large vehicles safely.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to schedules.
• Ability to handle and resolve conflicts or difficult situations with passengers.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform routine inspections.
• Familiarity with local routes and destinations.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating a bus.
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
• Previous experience as a bus driver preferred.

• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
• Ability to climb stairs and assist passengers with boarding and disembarking.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for handling luggage or other items as required.
• Good vision and hearing capabilities to ensure safe operation of the bus.
