Position is located on site in Holliston, MA.

Iwaki America is looking for a Quality and Compliance Technician I to support the monitoring and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and ensure product and process compliance, under the direction of the Quality Manager or a Senior Technician.



Key Responsibilities &

Essential Functions:

  • Ownership of incoming inspection on parts and assemblies as needed, and conduct periodic outgoing inspections
  • With guidance from Walchem and Aquatic engineering, develop and maintain CMM program
  • Perform inspections required for ECO’s;
    Walchem and Aquatic
  • Assist in Kaizen events lead by QD
  • Assist in risk assessment with managers
  • Compliance assessment with owners annually, periodic control checks as needed
  • Compliance audit & resolution of findings
  • Ownership in EU compliance regulations and requests
  • Assist QD with strategic quality issues & closure
  • Assist in supplier qualification and auditing
  • Assist in risk assessment
  • Serve as Quality assurance resource to department supervisor(s) for problem identification, resolution, and continuous improvement
  • Assist in ISO audit, prep and planning, scheduling
  • Initiate Chemical process controls and procedures
  • Audit application of the protocol as needed
  • Represent Quality and Compliance and assist production manager with manufacturing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Document control management; QMS, EH&S, Compliance
  • Inspect material sets for special product builds for customers receiving the first release of a new hardware for Walchem products
  • Audit inspections of PCBA’s (also checking cleanliness and solder joint quality), Cable assemblies, Enclosures, Power supplies, (compare to engineering drawings).
  • Create work instructions and periodically inspect work instructions for revision validation
  • Fulfill documentation and reporting requirements for Quality Management Program. Schedule periodic documentation reviews as required by Quality Control procedures
  • EH&S document directory ownership
  • Continuous improvement and problem resolution resource for EH&S
  • Audit application of the protocol for EH&S program
  • Ownership of QMS metrics
  • Assist QD at management review meetings
  • Ownership of calibration program – Internal calibration;
    Gage track

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree and/or equivalent experience required
  • 1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing
  • Experience in CMM equipment preferably Keyence
  • Experience with developing/documenting procedures
  • Knowledge of ISO Quality Management System Rules & Regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, as well as superior organizational abilities
  • Strong organization skills and close attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to interview individuals associated with audit subject matter, as well as communicate findings to management.
  • Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines
  • Experience working successfully as part of a team
  • Ability to understand drawings and documentation produced by engineers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly excel
