As a Substitute Teacher at the Primrose School of Harmony on the Lakes you’ll create a fun, safe environment with a daily schedule designed to develop children’s confidence and independence. You’ll help guide these little ones through small group instruction as they grow their ability to absorb new content and understand increasingly complex information.

• Hourly compensation: $13.50 – $15.00, depending on experience and education.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm or 9:00 am–6:00 pm. Closed weekends, nights and holidays.
• Paid time off: 40 hours = 1 year; 80 hours = 2–5 years; 120 hours = 5+ years.
• Paid week off for Winter Break (week of Christmas).
• Paid holidays.

Supportive leadership team, family environment, fully stocked classrooms, and a culture where all children and team members can thrive.

• Must meet basic requirements of local childcare regulatory agency.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with handling children, including lifting infants into a crib.

• Assist lead and assistant teachers in various classroom activities.
• Help young children explore, discover, and understand the world around them.
• Support children in learning language and literacy, science, life skills, and more.
• Work with a co‑teacher to implement lesson plans from the Balanced Learning® curriculum.
