Utility Operator

Insight Global is seeking a first shift Utility Operator to work for one of our largest pharmaceutical companies in the Holly Springs area. The Utility Operator will operate and maintain utility equipment with the highest degree of reliability. They will operate and monitor the building management system (BMS) and the distributed controls system (DCS) used for controlling and monitoring the utility equipment for the site.

They are also a first response person for the BMS/DCS alarms for utility equipment.

$25.00/hr - $30.00/hr

• Operate and monitor utility systems, including compressed gases, cooling towers, plant steam, chillers, HVAC, emergency generators
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on the utility equipment (e.g., changing filters)
• Respond to emergency conditions such as power outages and fire alarms
• Operate and monitor the BMS and DCS; respond to alarms related to utility equipment
• Perform chemical testing of boiler feedwater, cooling tower water, plant steam; make adjustments to chemistry control as required to maintain pre-established parameters
• Monitor and operate the site wastewater neutralization system
• Willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Monitor and maintain compressed gas inventories
• Adhere to all safety requirements and follow safe procedures; immediately notifying management when unsafe conditions or potential hazards exist; attend all required safety training
• Support cGMP standards as required

• High School degree
• 2+ years utility operator experience

• Previous Pharma or GMP experience
• Familiarity with BMS operations, delta V
