WhatYou’ll Do
- Plan and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on process equipment, such as bioreactors, centrifuges, ultrafiltration skids, parts washers, autoclaves, isolators, and fillers.
- Assist with developing and implementing preventative maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime.
- Revise and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for process maintenance related activities.
- Train and mentor technicians.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment purchases and upgrades.
- Assist and provide recommendations to management to develop and maintain maintenance budgets and schedules.
- Assist management with budget forecast for maintenance and capital projects.
- Follow SOPs and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) quality standards.
- Adhere to all safety requirements and follow safe work practices immediately.
- Notify management or Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) when unsafe conditions or hazards are found.
- Attend all required safety and health training.
- Support site operations and emergency work orders during off‑hours, as needed.
- Perform spare parts assessments as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements.
- Effective written and oral communication.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Project Management principles.
- Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong time management skills and detail‑oriented.
- Ability to train or mentor others.
- Must be able to support 24/7 manufacturing facility, including shift, on‑call, and weekend work.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 4–6 years of maintenance experience.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical engineering or a related field.
- Prior maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Project Management or Lean Six Sigma.
- Experience mentoring or leading maintenance teams in a pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing environment.
