CNC Router Table Programmer​/Operator

Job Description

The CNC Router Table Programmer/Operator is responsible for producing CNC cut signs and sign components by setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) router tables, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Meeting all production goals and timelines.

· Tracking time usage on every job.

· Operates and maintain the CNC Router Tables and their associated supplies and equipment.

· Open and move production files from the network to the CNC router tables using the associated computers and programs.

· Compliance with all workplace safety programs.

DETAILS OF FUNCTION:

· Uses the proper equipment and techniques to complete each task.

· Experience in the proper setup of CNC router tables to ensure proper functioning and precise measurements.

· Follow the production priorities listed in the ASI scheduling software.

· Execute tasks and manage multiple assignments in a fast paced, customer-centric deadline driven environment.

· Perform Start-up and Shut-Down Procedures Daily to include:

o Operational test runs.

o Verification of settings.

o Staging of materials.

· Translate cut file instructions into computer commands.

· Inspect and measure finished work against job specifications.

· Manage the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments.

· Clean finished parts as required.

· Collaborates with team members, other departments, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.

· Performs Preventive Maintenance on CNC router tables as follows but not limited to:

· Cleaning

· Lubrication

· Fluid Replacement

· Maintenance and Emptying of Dust Collector

· Clean work area daily

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 2+ years of experience operating CNC Router Tables Equipment.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

· The ability to perform and deliver in a fast-paced dynamic work environment.

· Detail orientation.

· Understanding of measurements, mathematical terms, and the conversion of fractional measurements to decimal measurements.

· Ability to prioritize and execute tasks on a tight timeline.

· Knowledge of sign fabrication, installation, and mechanical processes a plus.

· Experience in fabrication of channel letters a plus.

· Experience operating Enroute on a computer is a plus.

· Experience working with software that produces graphical images is a plus.

· 2-3 years of experience in sign construction is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· PPE is required and includes the wearing personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, and earplugs, safety Shoes and face mask/shield.

· Moving and lifting awkward metal sheets (must be able to lift 75 lbs.).

· Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
