Primary Care Physician Sickle Cell Medical

Overview

Memorial Healthcare System in South Florida is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician with a strong interest in the care and management of patients with sickle cell disease. This full-time, employed opportunity with the Memorial Physician Group offers the opportunity to work in collaboration with a board-certified hematologist who serves as the Medical Director of a dedicated sickle cell medical home.

Location:

Hollywood, FL.

• Primary focus on the clinical management of adults with sickle cell disease
• Outpatient pain management of sickle cell disease
• Join a multidisciplinary care team that includes a social worker, pharmacist, wellness coach, and dedicated nurses
• Access to dedicated outpatient hematology clinics, infusion/day hospital services, and embedded primary care
• Access to apheresis and transfusion services
• Collaborate with a board-certified hematologist medical director and a team of advanced practice providers dedicated to the care of adult patients with sickle cell disease
• Collaborate with Memorial’s pediatric hematology team
• Collaborate with Memorial Cancer Institute, which partners with Moffitt Cancer Center

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Strong interest in the care and management of sickle cell disease
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in an outpatient setting
