summary
the multi-modality technologist i provides diagnostic imaging in multiple specialties in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Spends a minimum of 25% of time practicing in secondary discipline.
responsibilities
positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s) taking appropriate action to resolve image quality issues. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.assists with preparation and administration of contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure(s).

The incumbent must be able to lead others and take appropriate action when required. Required work experience: one (1) year of technologist experience in a hospital setting. Other information:
** registered by american registry of radiologic technologists (arrt) in either of the following within one (1) year of hire date: computed tomography (ct), magnetic resonance imaging (mri), or vascular interventional radiology (vi).
