Overview

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist - PT - Flex - MRH at Memorial Healthcare System, Hollywood, Florida. Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Hollywood, Florida

• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
• Review patient history and physician orders; educate patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; select exposure factors and imaging parameters; implement safety standards.
• Perform quality control procedures on equipment; troubleshoot and report malfunctions as necessary.
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures; analyze images and address image quality issues (repositioning or repeating as clinically appropriate).
• Charge for supplies and use appropriate exam codes; participate in on-call shifts as required.

• Accredited Radiology Program (Required).
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (RT) and CT (within 1 year of hire).
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
• State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in Florida.

  Work Experience:
  
  No previous CT experience required; one year of radiology technologist experience is preferred.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
