Position Overview

As a Kitchen Manager, you will lead the back-of-house team through all aspects of kitchen operations, including ordering, receiving, prep, service, cleaning, and closing. We seek passionate cooks who are comfortable both assisting and delegating tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate all kitchen issues to management throughout the day.
  • Read and write notes in English in the manager’s daily log.
  • Attend weekly manager’s meetings and monthly staff meetings.
  • Read weekly memos and complete employee evaluations.
  • Coordinate with all Managers on Duty at shift end.
  • Provide honest reports of all events, positive or negative.
  • Follow policies, rules, and directions from manuals, memos, and meetings.
  • Enforce measurements, recipe adherence, cleanliness, and quality control standards.
  • Attend quarterly supervisor meetings.
  • Maintain current food management certification.
  • Demonstrate ownership mentality and flexibility in scheduling.
  • Be willing to transfer geographically if needed.
  • Work a 50-55 hour week, with two days off between Monday and Thursday.
  • Schedule vacations between April and November.
  • Order and formulate pars, understand Florida health standards, and conduct timely interviews.
  • Issue written evaluations for performance.
  • Possess physical abilities including standing, hearing, speaking, tasting, smelling, lifting up to 50 lbs., and mobility for up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Operate kitchen equipment proficiently and adhere to dress and grooming policies.
  • Be proficient at all kitchen stations, including expo.
  • Qualifications & Benefits
