Group Underwriting Senior Technical Writer

• Independently lead the development of reference information for complex projects to support the Group Underwriting organization
• Create Underwriting-specific content for the Information Management System (IMS)
• Occasionally lead the weekly publication of the newsletter for Group Underwriting
• Manage the review process of existing Group Underwriting policies in collaboration with team members
• Collaborate with various areas including compliance, legal, and IT

• Proficiency in writing and editing technical content related to complex business processes in regulated industries like insurance or healthcare
• A 4-year college degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience completing tasks in a disciplined manner and meeting deadlines
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and documentation practices in insurance
• Knowledge of Group insurance products and services (a plus)

• Project management experience (a plus)
• Familiarity with process improvement and process design (Lean Six Sigma)
• Optional:
  Ability to develop training materials using instructional design principles
