Met Tel is looking for a Technical Support - Wireless to join our growing team.

The Technical Support engineer is responsible for the support and remedy of new device certification, ongoing device testing processes, client setup or vendor issues and supporting documentation. Wireless devices with a specific concentration on cellular device certification is required for this role.

• Remedy client and vendor issues
• Certify devices across the component lifecycle (SIM, profile, device, firmware, carrier matrix)
• Tier 1 Support of sales engineering with design, solution implementation and documentation
• Ability to conduct technical research and learn new technologies or features

• Have a minimum 3 years of experience in cellular network core architecture and design
• Understanding of IT policies, architecture, Active Directory
• Modem AT commands knowledge and 3
  
  GPP guidelines
• Familiarity with IOT design and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with Samsung Knox, Air Watch MDM, Intune, Cyber Reef, etc.
• Knowledgeable and ability to read JSON, XML, Python, BASH and Power Shell, Git Hub, etc.
• Strong deductive reasoning skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Logic-minded
• Passion for solving puzzles
• Critical thinking
• Ability to work within a complex, multi-vendor team
• Willingness to execute scientific methods with a strong documentation discipline

Additional desirable requirements and qualifications:

• CCNA preferred
• Some travel for training and vendor meetings or other business needs

Note:

The salary range reflected is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 annually. Pay varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and abilities of the successful candidate.
