Civil Litigation Paralegal

Overview

Pay: $22–$36 per hour (based on experience)

Hale Skemp is a well‑established, highly respected law firm with more than 100 years of service to our clients and community. We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team.

This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented paralegal who enjoys working on complex litigation matters and collaborating closely with attorneys, clients, and external partners in a professional, supportive environment.

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and appellate documents
• Prepare medical summaries and special damage documentation
• Maintain pleadings, discovery, and case management indexes
• Organize exhibits, evidence, briefs, appendices, and trial materials
• Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
• Gather relevant information from medical, financial, and other sources
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and third‑party vendors
• Support attorneys with case settlements and resolutions

• Paralegal degree required
• Prior experience as a civil or litigation paralegal preferred
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable learning and using legal technology and case management systems
