Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a committed and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join an established mental health provider in Manchester , supporting both Acute and Rehabilitation Psychiatry services. As a Psychiatrist , you will assess, diagnose, and treat adults with a range of complex mental health conditions. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) , youll provide holistic, person-centred care and play a key role in service development.

Key Responsibilities Lead acute and rehab ward rounds, risk reviews, and strategic planning meetings. Provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and care planning. Act as the Responsible Clinician (RC) under the Mental Health Act 1983 . Oversee referrals, admissions, and pre-admission assessments. Deliver leadership and supervision to the MDT. Foster a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-orientated environment. Contribute to continuous quality improvement and clinical governance.
