We support professional, resource‑efficient dairy farming with integrated technologies designed to improve productivity, animal welfare, and milk quality. Through GEA’s global dealer network, we provide a full‑service offering, including industry‑leading hygiene products and chemicals that promote optimal udder health and superior milk quality.
Responsibilities- Work hands‑on with advanced dairy systems, supporting farmers with essential equipment that keeps their operations running smoothly.
- Visit farms and customer sites between 08:15 - 17:00, with time spent in the Holsworthy office when not on‑site.
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on Automatic (AMS) and Conventional Milking Systems (CMS).
- Perform repairs, servicing, upgrades, and installations.
- Support maintenance and installation of slurry handling and manure management systems.
- Take part in a rota providing out‑of‑hours technical support across your region.
- Complete service reports, record parts usage, and track time accurately.
- Follow and promote best practices in safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Represent Venture Dairy Services professionally.
- Build strong relationships with customers.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Comfortable using MS Office.
- Experience as a Dairy Technician (desirable) OR a background in electrical/mechanical engineering.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical faults.
- Full UK Category B driving licence (endorsements must be declared).
- Willingness to travel across the Southwest (and occasionally to the Channel Islands).
- Comfortable working outdoors, in all weather conditions and farm environments.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Confident communicator with a customer‑focused approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Safety‑conscious with a proactive mindset.
- Appreciation for animal welfare and modern farming practices.
