Tamar Trading Company Ltd is a well-established, successful, independent Builders Merchant with 5 branches in Devon & Cornwall.

We are a family-run business, always seeking to provide an efficient, competitive service along with excellent customer satisfaction.

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated sales professional to join our friendly team at our Holsworthy branch.

The role entails selling a wide range of general building materials and plumbing goods to customers including local builders, contractors as well as DIY customers.

Purchasing and stock management will form part of the duties.

This role will include the following:

• Developing opportunities with new customers as well as maintaining strong working relationships with existing customers.
• Answering phone calls and processing customer sales orders, preparing quotations, progressing orders and resolving any queries.
• Working closely with suppliers to fulfil customers’ needs.
• There is potential for involvement in Kitchen & Bathroom sales in this role.
  
  Experience in this area would be an advantage but is not a necessity.

You will be:

• Experienced in the building trade with a sound understanding of building products.
• Comfortable liaising with customers and suppliers alike.
• Enthusiastic about developing your role within the Company.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and have a conscientious and friendly demeanor.

This will be a full-time position. The salary will reflect the role and be commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
