Key Responsibilities- Perform welding operations using various techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) on metal components.
- Interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work orders to determine appropriate welding procedures.
- Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications using measuring tools.
- Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and positioning components.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment safely and effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with welding equipment and processes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in common welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) and equipment.
- AWS D1.1 or equivalent welding certifications.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Experience with various metal types (e.g., steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
- Experience with advanced welding processes (e.g., robotic welding, laser welding).
- Proficiency in fabricating and fitting metal components prior to welding.
- Ability to operate forklifts or overhead cranes.
- Knowledge of basic quality inspection techniques and common weld defect identification.
- Experience welding exotic materials such as stainless steel or aluminum.
