Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures according to specifications.
- Operate a variety of machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines with high precision.
- Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and CAD models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot issues on existing tooling to minimize downtime.
- Select appropriate materials, heat treatments, and surface finishes for tool components.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure tools meet required standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to optimize tool performance and manufacturing processes.
- Completion of a recognized Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship program or equivalent journeyman experience.
- Proficiency in operating a variety of manual and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM.
- Strong ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T specifications.
- Expertise in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMMs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various tool steels, carbides, and heat treatment processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for tool repair, maintenance, and optimization.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tool design and programming.
- Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
- Knowledge of heat treatment processes and material science for various tool steels.
- Welding or fabrication experience for tool repair and modification.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives.
