Test Engineer, Electronics Technician

M-F onsite
This is an engineering lab role and the candidate will work closely with our EE design team on mobile computing products and charging/communication cradles. The ideal candidate would have the desire to learn about product development from the testing aspect including bench troubleshooting and rework to compliance testing of ESD/EMI as well as temperature chamber to verify they operate under customer demands.
Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype products. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble‑shooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Associate Degree, BS degree preferred, 2+ experience required.
Follows and reviews established processes to test preliminary product assemblies. Performs operational test and fault isolation on product assemblies and hardware. Assists product development engineers in the diagnosis and replication of product failures. Debugs and characterizes defects, provides detailed configuration and descriptions for passing and failing tests for product evaluation reports. Reviews changes or upgrades to existing designs and ensures testing is completed for each design revision.
Records all results of tests and maintains lab documentation as required.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree is not required. Electrical background minimum 2 years Technology degree preferred.
